This Privacy Policy explains how [COMPANY NAME] (“TenKey”, “we”, “us”) handles information when you use the TenKey app and the tenkeyvault.com website. TenKey is built so that the contents of your vault stay private to you.
1. Your vault contents are encrypted on your device
Photos, videos and files you add to your vault are encrypted on your device before they are stored or backed up. The encryption key is held only by you (through your code and your recovery key). We cannot see, open or read the contents of your vault, and we cannot decrypt them for anyone else.
If you turn on encrypted cloud backup, we store only the encrypted data. Without your key, it is unreadable to us and to anyone with access to our storage.
2. Information we collect
- Email address. If you join the early-access waitlist, contact support, or set an optional recovery email, we collect your email address. We use it to tell you about TenKey’s release, answer your questions, and help you recover access to your account.
- Platform preference. When you join the waitlist, we record which device you’re interested in (iPhone, Android or Windows).
- Support messages. If you contact us, we keep your name, email and message so we can reply.
- Payment information. Payments are handled by Apple (App Store), Google (Google Play) or Stripe. We do not receive or store your full card details. We may receive limited information such as purchase status, plan and country so we can provide what you paid for.
- Basic anonymous site analytics. We may collect aggregated, anonymous statistics about visits to tenkeyvault.com (such as page views and general traffic sources) to understand how the site is used. These statistics are not used to identify you.
3. What we don’t collect
- We don’t have access to the photos, videos or files in your vault.
- We don’t show ads and we don’t sell your personal information.
4. How we use information
We use the information above to operate and improve TenKey, provide backup and account recovery, process subscriptions through our payment providers, respond to support requests, and send you messages you asked for (such as the early-access announcement). You can unsubscribe from emails at any time.
5. Service providers
We use trusted providers to run TenKey, including hosting, form handling and email services, and Apple, Google and Stripe for payments. They process information only on our behalf and under their own privacy terms.
6. Data retention
We keep waitlist and support information for as long as needed for the purposes above, or until you ask us to delete it. Encrypted backups are kept while your backup is active and deleted after you turn backup off or delete your account, subject to a short recovery window.
7. Your choices and rights
You can ask us to access, correct or delete the personal information we hold about you by emailing us. Depending on where you live, you may have additional rights under local law.
8. Children
TenKey is not directed to children under 13 (or the minimum age required in your country), and we do not knowingly collect their personal information.
9. Changes
We may update this policy. If we make significant changes, we’ll update the date above and, where appropriate, let you know.
